Try a moist poultice of baking soda, cover and let work for a day or two. That might leach up the stain.

Make sure you only put the iron on the towel. It will melt the plastic deck.It should loosen the wax enough to get it off.

The brown paper (like a paper bag from the market) will really absorb the wax. Just keep checking and moving the paper as necessary.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
