We live in a world of uniformity and people want a way for their child to stand out. If you name your son Fred he will grow up surrounded by many other Freds, but if you son is Pilot Inspektor everyone will notice him and he will stand out.
People don't want common names for their kids nowadays, they want unique names that have meaning to them and not one every other child in class will have. I know when I was in high school there were at least 9 Jennifers in my class, all got names that bacause it was commonly used. My mom got my name from a Clint Eastwood movie, Play Misty for Me, she liked the name they used for his girlfriend and my parents finally agreed on a name.
Yes it is a name that was typically used for boys, yeah once or twice I got teased because of it, and yes people often assumed it was my brothers name, but by the time I got to gh School and I knew why my parents picked it, and I was the only one in the school woth that name, I actaully suddenly really liked my name. I always knew when people were talking to me, and not the 9 other people with my name. I really began to enjoy the fact that I had a unique name.
I still get people that ask if it is a nickanme, or short for something, and I always get asked how to spell it (and get looks since apparently I have the "boys" spelling) but I really like my name and wouldn't trade it for and "Fred" or "Bob" name. I tried to find unique but not "weird" names for my 3 and I think we did a pretty good job.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
