What is post-traumatic stress disorder?

This is a severe anxiety didsorder that one develops after a traumatic event. May be characterised by nightmares, sleep disturbance, disturbance in social activities as the individual is unable to resume normal social life after trauma etc. Emotional disturbances like out burst of anger may also be a symptom. Well managed with medication.

It is the life long result of one traumatic incident or more , unresolved in the mind, body and soul.....just what it says.

PTSD is a psychological condition (an anxiety disorder) in which the affected person relives a traumatic incident. There are many symptoms of PTSD including:-reoccuring nightmares-being easily startled-having flashbacks (reliving the traumatic incidence)Depression and chronic anxiety is also common in people with PTSD.
