What is the best advice you can give on how to safely drive when it's foggy?

Keep it safe, low beams and slow speeds for the conditions. Focus away from oncoming lights, 90% of drivers look at the headlights approaching them. Focus on the white "fog" line using your peripheral vision to maintain lane.

I'm no expert but low beams for sure. I would also try to follow the lines in the road as well.

Do not tail gate and keep your speed down, major accidents have happened in fog, only drive if you really have to.

Dipped lights and Fog lights if you have them. Slow and steady with loads of extra breaking space. Regular breaks if covering any distance as it's much more tiring on the eyes driving in these conditions.

Imagine driving with a blindfold, that's how dangerous driving in a foggy weather. Drive on the right lane (for left hand drive) and reduce your speed. At least double your gap from the vehicle in front of you (3 secs in ideal condition).

Always use a low beam headlight and your fog light. Think about defensive driving always.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
