I'm a interior designer. As per your requirement, my suggestion is to go with Black ( black Shade), White or Cream (cream shade) kitchen countertop. Keep white as optional because tough to maintain and clean.

Kitchen Counter top material:- Different types of materials are available in market. Its very difficult to choose one. Compared to laminates eco friendly and stylish options are the natural stone countertops such as onyx, granite, marble, quartz and concrete because more durable and they add a sophisticated touch to the design too and priced reasonably.

Tiled countertops also have high resistance to scratches and heat. Ceramic, stone and porcelain are also economical and have its own characteristic. If looking for earthy feel kitchen go for wooden counter top.

Those who want high functionality I suggest for Stainless countertops. This is highly resistant to damages like heat, scratches, burns and stains. It can be easily cleaned and disinfected.
