I have to say that, "The Last Exorcism," was one of the better crafted movies that I have seen in a long time. I write a lot about horror movies (over 300 articles) as horror movies have been a passion of mine since I was a child. There are very few horrr movies anymore that keep me up at night well after I have seen them."The Last Exorcism," did not keep me up because I was afraid to go to sleep.
I was kept awake by trying to answer questions that I had in my mind. MINOR SPOILER ALERT! With all of the previews, we were led to beleive that the girl in the movie was posssessed.
After watching all of the points in the movie, you are left wondering if she was possessed or insane. The director did a great job in leaving the events open in your mind as to if they were paranormal, or mundane. I would love to spend an hour typing here, but I would suggest that you read an article that I wrote for Yahoo about the movie.
It explains a lot of the aspects of the movie, and points out why this movie is one that will have you talking for a long time. You can see the link below. Before anyone starts trying to say that I am pimping out my own article - I do not make any money off of the page views for articles on Yahoo.
I got a one time payment for it, and that is it. Also, Yahoo came to me and asked for this article. Also, it was headlined on their movie site for a week, so there must be something good about it.
I also wait for On Demand as I won't sit in a movie theather. But I have just saw one of the best movies ever but it was an old one. Arsenic and Old Lace.
I think this is really a good movie and timeless. I also just started watching Rikki Bobby, something like that, and I had to shut it off.
Recent movie I saw on DVD - Unthinkable
A psychological thriller centered around a black-ops interrogator and an FBI agent who press a suspect terrorist into divulging the locationof three nuclear weapons sets to detonate in the United States. When a terrorist (Michael Sheen) claims to have 4 bombs in hidden locations, a black-ops interrogator named H (Samuel Jackson) is called in to interrogate him. But Helen Brody, an FBI agent is against torture and is in the way of letting H do what has to be done.. Good acting (Jackson and Sheen), good suspense, good direction and score. The story is simple, realistic and very current which makes it really efficient. In my opinion - not worth seeing
Date Night....While the Steve Carell and Tina Fey pairing looks like a winner on paper, Date Night somehow just isn’t that funny.I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
