The Basenji There are a couple of reasons why basenjis don't bark like other dogs. First there is a different physical configuration in its larynx. The other thing is that they were one of the first domesticated canines in the Paleolithic Era and it was valued for hunting and tracking silently so prey wouldn't be scared off.
Later in the Neolithic Era, when people lived closer in villages other 'watchdog' breeds were domesticated. Basenjis aren't completely silent. They do make kind of 1 short screech but can do several.

The Basenji That would be the Basenji, a short-haired hunting dog originating in Africa. It weighs 20-26 pounds and has a smooth, shiny coat. It comes in a number of colors, including red, brown, black, tricolor and brindle. It is intelligent, alert, and somewhat aloof to strangers.
The American Kennel Club classifies it as a hound. Interestingly, it is barkless but not mute. It makes a number of different sounds, including a gutteral and a coughing sound.
I’ve known about this breed for a long time, but I’ve never known one well. I looked at several sites before I wrote this answer, and many of them list breed standards. But I wanted a site that really described what living with a Basenji is like.
One of the better ones, it seemed to me, is: hicotn.com/basenji.html It is clearly written by someone who has owned Basenjis and loves them. It is a Basenji. Although a Basenji does not bark, they are not mute. I always knew that they yodelled, but I did not know that they made so many other different sounds.
They make sounds from a pleasing crow to a keening wail when they are lonely or unhappy. I worked for a breeder and a kennel owner and there was a Basenji that boarded there frequently. It was the wail that I would hear.
He was not happy when he was there. This particular Basenji was not friendly, although that is not a characteristic of Basenjis. They can be aloof, but are generally affectionate, playful and intelligent.
They should be handled at an early age so they will not be too independent or aloof. I learned that Benjis lick themselves all over like a cat. Because of this trait they are very clean and almost odorless.
Just what do they sound like anyway? Basenjis are generally quiet dogs and do not bark. They do produce a wide variety of other vocalizations including yodels, crows, chortles, howls, growls, and some which are simply beyond description.
Each dog has it’s own repertoire and it is rare to find two that sound alike. Other Basenjis are very quiet. They usually make these sounds when they are happy.

Barkless Dog Breed The breed is called Basenji.
I'm not sure if this is the one you're looking for...... .....but it is the breed I know about because my friend had one of these. Basenji's are one of an African breed of dogs that have a chestnut colored coat with white points and curly tails. They are known mostly for their inability to bark..
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
