You can plant azaleas anytime. Be sure not to bury the top of the root ball in the ground or they will die. Do not plant them any deeper than they are in the pot.
Water every day for a couple weeks until they're established and then as needed. You can fertilize two to three times a year with an acid fertilizer. Mulch to keep weeds down and to conserve water.
