Ah, I guess Fido and Bambi voted for Obama.
I did a quick search and found two or three sites with screaming headlines but no real information. One I didn't click on because it looked like a sales site. I found one site (given below) that didn't seem to be pushing a headline but just reporting the situation.
It said, "The web site shows that there were 175,554 people eligible to vote. On Tuesday the number of individual voting cards cast in the multiple card ballot totaled 247,713. Each voter cast two cards" According to that site, 175554 people were eligible to vote.
Each vote consisted of two cards. Cards cast = 247713, Math facts: 175,554 eligible voters times 2 cards = 351,108 cards. (the number of cards you would have which would be 100% if every voter casts 2 cards.) 247,713 cards divided by 2 cards per voter = 123,856.5 possible voters (the impractical number of voters if each actual voter cast two cards as expected.
I wouldn't want to use the voting booth after that .5 person cast a ballot!) If 141% of VOTERS voted, you would multiply 175.554 eligible voters by 1.41, 175,554 times 1.41 = 247531.14 That number is very close to the number given as the number of ballot CARDS cast I would guess that fewer than 100% of the voters showed up, but some of them cast only one card. Rather than worrying about potential voter fraud in Florida, I'd be more frightened by the idea that anyone accepted as fact the statement about voter fraud from someone who either couldn't do the math or didn't do the math or ignored the math to get a headline. There is still time to relax and enjoy this political-advertisement-free period that will end all too soon.
(Minor edits for spelling and clarity, and one edit to correct phrasing - your question does not indicate you believe voter fraud happened, but rather just asks for thoughts on the math...sorry if I misunderstood to begin with.).
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
