What is the difference between a medical model Adult Day Health Care and a social model Adult Day Care?

An Adult Day Health Care is a medical model program certified to provide Medicaid reimbursed services to Medicaid eligible participants as required by the division of Medical Services in accordance with the standards in 13 CSR 70-92.00. An Adult Day Care program provides social activities and is not required to provide medical services. As a social program, an Adult Day Care participant is not eligible for Medicaid reimbursement.
