What is the difference between a movie theater and at home movies?

If someone is talking during the movie, you have nobody to blame but yourself.

Some people like the ambiance of the movie theater. It is just as much about going to the movies as seeing them. But movie theaters used to be more conducive to that because they used to be far more elegant and lush.

They were more beautifully designed than they are now. The screens were larger (except for the IMAX screens), with sweeping velvet drapes and it was just fun to go and be in that environment. Now they pack as many movie screens in a building as they can, sacrificing the size of the screen, the plush seats and the ambiance.

Still some people love to go. Many people like the idea of watching a movie with other people, or the smell of the popcorn and the feel of the seats. Its an event.

They like the snack bar and the previews. They like the surround sound and the power of the movie speakers. They like to feel their seats hum.

The price of tickets has gone up however. Others love the convenience of watching a movie in the privacy of their own home. They like having control over the movie, the time they watch it, and being able to stop it when they please.

They like being able to wear their pajamas if they want. They like eating and drinking what they want. They also like being able to watch certain parts again if they want, or skipping over parts they don't like.

Plus it is less expensive to watch a movie at home. As well, you don't have to deal with people possibly being obnoxious in the audience. Basically you control the entire experience.It just depends on what kind of person you are, but those are the main differences.

At home, I can turn on the closed captioning and know what the characters are saying, which was only about 45% the case in watching "Transformers: Dark of the Moon" the other day.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
