What is the difference between a pledge and a tithe?

My short answer is that the TITHE is a tenth part. Giving 5%, or 11%, is NOT a tithe. A pledge can be any amount that you purpose to give.

You could PLEDGE to tithe, or you could tithe, AND make a pledge (of any amount or %-age).

A tithe is 10% of your income, and a pledge is any amount you choose.

A pledge is done willingly , it is a choice but a tithe is a must a commandment from God. Mal 3:10 Bring all the tithe into the storehouse, so that there may be food in My house. And test Me now with this, says Jehovah of Hosts, to see if I will not open the windows of Heaven for you, and pour out a blessing for you, until there is not enough room.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
