Not really a difference except fascism is a form a gov't, and dictatorship is just one person ruling.
"All of the answers below incorporate important elements that show similarities as well as differences between fascism and communism. However, it is important to keep in mind a few things. First, both communism and fascism are types of authoritarian rule, where the interests and freedoms of the individual are subordinated to those of the state, and quite frequently a powerful leader.
Secondly, in many cases both fascist and communist rule are bolstered by a highly powerful military apparatus, as a way to stifle opposition. Thirdly, both types of government are statist, in that the central government has some degree of control over the economic means of production (as opposed to, say a free market, or laissez-faire economy as in the US), and also oftentimes social policy. However, there are also notable differences.
Fascism tends to be driven by nationalistic or ethnic divisions. For example, Hitler's NAZI party used populist appeals to ethnic divisions in Germany- especially hatred towards Jews- as a way to gain popular support. Secondly, fascism has strong corporatist elements, where the government has significant control over private enterprise, but does not entirely co-opt it (as in, say, communism).
The NAZIs, for example, considered themselves a "Third Way" between laissez-faire capitalism and socialism, in that rather than completely nationalizing industry and taking over the means of production, the government had a very powerful influence. Keep in mind a few things, however.
Capitalism is an economic system where the capital, or means of production (including property and natural resources) is owned and controlled by private citizens. The government's participation in a capitalist economy includes the issuing of money, the supervision of public utilities, and enforcement of private contracts. The main hope for government is to increase efficiency through policies and the prohibition of unfair business practices.
However, the concept of capitalism differs vastly from its actual practice While analysts and scholars are still unable to define a fascist economy, one may still follow characteristics that fascist countries have shared. Fascist economies oppose international socialism as well as liberal capitalism. The result was a middle ground between the two ideals known as "dirigisme" -- an economic term where the government allows citizens private property and private initiative, but has directive influence and control over production and the allocation of resources.
Most fascist movements aim for the elimination of autonomy and discourage international trade (while capitalist and most socialist economies support the latter). Fascist economies are often oppressive and militaristic while encouraging of social and economic inequalities.
Sorry guys but Fascism obviously began at point A: Marxism, deviated, and was left at point B:Fascism. It didn't begin with any liberal starts at all. He simply rejected the enlightment's notion of socialism, and marxism as a science.
What is the difference between Fascism and Capitalism, since both admit the system of private enterprise? In brief definition, Capitalism is the system by which capital uses the Nation for its own purposes. Fascism is the system by which the Nation uses capital for its own purposes.
Private enterprise is permitted and encouraged so long as it coincides with the national interests. Private enterprise is not permitted when it conflicts with national interests. Under Fascism private enterprise may serve but not exploit.
This is secured by the Corporative System, which lays down the limits within which industry may operate, and those limits are the welfare of the Nation. Again I ask why is this ideology "right wing"?
A Fascist government is often more aggressive in nature. Both have a leader who is in total control over the rest of the economy. Want to know?
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
