First and foremost, it occupies the old Bexar (pronounced bear) County Jail, and is a regular hotel with indoor corridors and a front desk at the entrance. But what really impressed me about the place was the cleanliness and the comfort of the rooms. The hotel is only 2 years old, but even in such a short time, poor housekeeping can show.

But there are no signs of that here, and there was no smell of disinfectant, which can be pervasive in inexpensive lodgings.
