I am in love with the San Antonio Riverwalk from my last 3 trips out there. My recommendations are below. Favorite Hotel- The Westin.(The Sheraton is a close 2nd) but the Westin tops out.

If you book far enough in advance it isn't that bad a deal in comparison to others, either. Best Entertainment- Howl at the Moon - an amazing piano music extravangaza, great for the whole family. Sazo's Latin Gril is also great, but more of a club type atmosphere than a family atmosphere.

The River City Comedy Club is also a great hit. Another must hit is 6 Flags. It is the best 6 Flags I have been too, and has awesome water rides.

A definite hit for the whole family....Beyond that, I would also recommend checking out: The Windflower Spa (great for pampering), The RiverCenter Mall (if you are the shopping type on vacation its a great mall, but personally I am not much of the shopping type when I am on vacation), and also the San Antonio Museum of Art. Hope these recommendations help. From the best of my memory I tried to list all of my favorite stops from my past trips.

ENJOY! Sources: This is my opinion .

There is a hotel "on" the Riverwalk... ... it's not actually right on the cheesy, touristy part of the Riverwalk, but the part that meanders along the actual river. It's called The Havana Riverwalk Inn. Great hotel, but the best part is the bar -- it will make you feel like you're in Havana in its heyday!

Assuming you drink, try a mojito-- theirs are the best I've ever had. Here's the website: havanariverwalkinn.com/cohiba.html As for a place right on the "Riverwalk", we had a good, really fun lunch at Dick's Last Resort. Here's some info: Dick's Last Resort This is the joint your mama warned you about.

Dick's serves up buckets of barbecued ribs, chicken, catfish, shrimp and crab legs. Platters include steaks, crabby cakes, salmon, mahi-mahi and even salads for the wimpy eater. Lunch includes sandwiches, salads and buckets of good food.

The wait staff is irreverent by design, and the decor is local gargage-sale stuff. Seventy-four kinds of beer. Live music, no cover, no dress code and definitely no class.

Billed as "The Rowdy of the River". 406 Navarro San Antonio, Texas 78205 Phone: 210-224-0026 Fax: 210-225-4405 Website: www.dickslastresort.com It's not for everyone, as it's pretty raucous, but we had a great time! Have a great trip!

And Remember the Alamo! Rickisgirl's Recommendations VIP NBA Coffee Mug - San Antonio Spurs Amazon List Price: $35.51 My favorite NBA team! .

These are the things I really like at the Riverwalk: Jim Cullum's Landing, where there is great jazz (also good cheesecake). Its the home of the Riverwalk Jazz program on public radio. The Zuni Grill, for their Blue Corn Chicken Enchiladas (great) and the very nice view sitting out under the big shade tree next to the river.

They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. In August I would recommend dinner, when the day is starting to cool off. La Villita, which is near the Riverwalk and full of neat restaurants and fun shops, all in an adobe/early Spanish Texas ambience.

Of course, the boat ride is a must. Some boat operators are better than others, but even if you get one who has no stage presence you can still enjoy the view. The Rivercenter Mall - huge and nice, with an IMAX theater, a regular theater, and lots and lots of shops.

And you can get there by boat. The Omni La MansiĆ³n del Rio (Phone: 210-518-1000) a really elegant hotel (if you can afford it). Just splendid.

The Fig Tree Restaurant for dining on the terrace (yum! Mint-crusted Lamb Rack with Lamb Jus followed by Bananas Foster and an astoundiung array of wines. The Arneson River Theater has stuff going on all the time - it is a neat open-air theater right on the river.

Paesano's for Osso Buco. The Hyatt is a good hotel and has the advantage of opening on to Alamo Plaza, so you can go see the Alamo otself. Sources: My Experiences (I live in South Texas) .

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
