I am always trying and experiencing all sort of apertizers. These were the following disgusting that I've eaten...Believe me-NO MORE! Dried Mopanie worms.
These worms are eaten roasted or dried It is quite tasty but the crunchy bits - the mandibles or mouth bits - I don't like. It tastes a lot like peanuts. (My brother-in-law is from South Africa, he brought some back to the states, 2 years ago)
Rocky mountain oysters and I thought they would be disgusting but were actually pretty tasty.Yikes! http://ts2.mm.bing.net/images/thumbnail.aspx?q=1429337211201&id=403a430df7dcfe854775007002ae3778&url=http%3a%2f%2f

I was not expecting that. I swallowed a bug that flew in my mouth. I drank some milk and made myself 'puke' up..No bug..so I guess it went through the other end..eweeee.Japanese Natto is the most disgusting thing I have eaten. It is fermented soy beans. Definitely not on my list to try again!
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
