I think sometimes people choose the wrong gifts for older people who already have all the gowns, bathrobes, bedroom slippers and what-nots they will ever need. So, the best gift I ever gave to an older person was a large basket of personalized goodies. Here's list of the things I bought, (knowing her tastes).1.
Crunch N' Munch 2. Bag of coffee 3. Book of stamps 4. Magazines 5.
Candy 6. Kleenex 7. Lotion 8.
Snack crackers 9. Box of all occasion cards 10. Hand sanitizer 11.
Fruit 12. Snack cakes 13. Soft drinks The lady loved all the goodies.

For me, every gift I share is a thoughtful gift... I always include my heart in every present. Buying gifts for me isn't just for the sake that I'll be able to give something to someone. For me, it's giving a part of your heart to make someone happy.
:) As for the most thoughtful gift I ever received, I'd pick every gift my mom gives me. :) I always want to cry when I see my mom giving me a present. I can clearly see happiness in her eyes when I'm opening present/s from her.
May it be just some cute hair clips that she usually takes home for me or gifts on big packages, it always makes me happy because I can feel that those things came from her heart.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
