What is the New York State Fair in Syracuse, New York?

The New York State Fair in Syracuse, New York has loads of activities and events. It will be held from August 25 - September 5, 2011. The artists and activities for 2011 have not yet been made public, but the entertainment headliner in 2010 was singer/performer Rihanna.

Some of last year's events include food exhibits, arts, crafts, antiques, storytelling, livestock, living statues, duck races, dance troupes, musical shows and tons more. And yes. There are lots of carnival rides available for kids of all ages.

The New York State Fairgrounds in Syracuse are adjacent to Route 690 West. The Fairgrounds are accessible from the New York State Thruway, at exit 39 (from the West) and 34A (from the East), as well as from Route 81 from the North and South.
