What is the proper amount to tip in this situation?

1 You tip. The guy took care of you. He tried to be the go between for you with the cook and when that didn't work he went to the management on your behalf to get it removed from your bill.

Trust Me. Management does Not want to do that when they are sitting on their a$$ in the office counting the receipts. They would rather recook the meal and pat you on the head (via the waiter) when all you want by now, is bed.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
