What is the size of the carry on luggage?

If you are getting a flight in the UK check with the company as they vary in what size carry on luggage is allowed. Some of the 'cheap flight companies' are strict about the carry on luggage sizes. If they stop you at the gate it can cost an additional charge to have your bag put in the hold.

This all depends on the aircraft, most larger aircraft (MD-80 to A380) you can use the normal carry one size luggage. The standard is 22" x 14" x 9". For smaller aircraft such as a crj or embrear aircraft you can only have a small bag such as a backpack, purse or a satchel.
