The value is in marketing Mahalo Answers to search engines. Enter in Google Doritos Too Delicious Super Bowl Ad, and then you will see the first search result is Mahalo. This brings traffic to the Mahalo site.
If you notice who is asking these questions, it's obviously someone who is affiliated with Mahalo. It also is good to create interesting content on Mahalo, as people always have an opinion of advertisements and especially Superbowl commercials that companies are shelling out $2.6 million for a 30 second ad.
Although opinion questions, like "what do you think of" don't necessarily add to the knowledge base of Mahalo Answers, I do feel that they have value. One, they get people who don't necessarily have knowledge related to questions on the site to be able to participate. Two, they build community for sites like Answers, and it helps to build community.
Three, it taps into the buzz of a big event and gets peoples opinions on it, sort of like an archiving of history. The neat thing about Mahalo Answers is there's no set concept of what it will be. It all depends on the users.
Thanks for sharing your perspective, though!
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
