Before asking a question, should I search Mahalo Answers via Mahalo or google before I submit a question to see if it's been asked before?

You could but if you did then you might be doing half of the work of answering already.. If you are going to search use Google to search Mahalo Answers it works far better. I like to check and see if there have been duplicate questions but there usually is not a true duplicate with the questions I ask, there might be similar questions but not true duplicates. Even if there is a duplicate the information contained within it as answers might be incorrect or out of date and a new question that mirrors that one might just be the best thing to do.

A quick Google search yes.. but any more than that and you are really answering the question you intend to ask before you even get a chance to ask it but it is entirely up to you. With the new revenue sharing with questions we might just be best in insuring we are not asking a duplicate as that would decrease the opportunity for ad revenue to share. Niche topics and undiscovered or unexplored subjects will rank the best in Google and therefore give us a better chance of earning.So from a pure curiosity viewpoint ~ ask as many questions about any subject that you like with only a little regard for duplicates and/or similar questions.

From a revenue sharing viewpoint ~ ask questions that are honest but in more unexplored territory on the internet.

I think if you have a question you should search it on mahalo and if a question with a suitable answer does not appear to go ahead and ask away. If you did not find the question by searching chances are someone else wouldn't find it either.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
