For our wedding in '04, we received this ugly glass (not crystal) salad bowl with a grapes design on it in a beat up old box that must have been in their attic since the 70's. The worst part was, the card was addressed not to my husband and me, but to my husband's TWIN and me!
The worst item that was ever given to me was a rooster teapot set. I was unable to regift it because it was so horrid...so I "accidentally" broke it.
Mine was a calendar, received, that was re-gifted from the Chinese restaurant we get take out from...LOL.
On our housewarming party we got a red enamel coated strawberry tea kettle. It was good looking but I never liked stovetop or whistling tea kettle. So I kept it unused and planning for a new electric kettle in my new kitchen.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
