Only skimmed your post in interest, but it's long! I'm not against gays, so don't read into what I'm going to say to you...I keep seeing you guys state that people who believe the Bible go to the Old Testament to prove their views of homosexuality. Perhaps some do, but there is plenty in the New Testament against it as well.
As for your other mis-statements, no one with knowledge claims the OT is "out", but the OT Law as a governing thing was fulfilled by the life of Christ and repealed in the work of the cross, where He ushered in a new covenant that replaced the law. Understand the difference? The OT Law was for the Jew ONLY and served only to reveal sin...it was INTENDED to show the inability of man to EVER be "good" enough to "earn" forgiveness and heaven.
The new covenant of grace is extended to all, not just the Jew, and is able to be offered because Christ fulfilled the OT Law, making Him the perfect sacrifice that was necessary to repeal the law and extend grace to all who would receive it. If you don't understand that, it's easy to get the rest very wrong...nothing "doesn't count" or becomes "invalid", in fact, the OT laws were designed to be fulfilled and then repealed! The entire stage was set for the intended plan to be fulfilled that was put in place before the foundations of the world were laid.
The Old Testament law still applies in that it shows what is good , what we strive for, but the law does not get us into heaven. Only this gets us into heaven John 3:36 "He that believeth on the Son (Jesus) hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him." The New Testament also speaks of gays as an abomination.
Romans chapter 1.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
