Lord of the Rings Trilogy, the Harry Potter series or anything by Dean Koontz are all up there!
The Chronicles of Amber is one of my favorite series but I seldom have time to follow series now lol.
An oldie written during WWII, Suds in Your Eye, by Mary Lasswell. It is a work of fiction. She wrote it while her husband was overseas and it is the adventure of 3 quirky lady senior citizens.
Great fun.
The dark tower series by stephen king is definately a favorite of mine.
I don't think I could pick a stand-alone favorite but my favorite series are the Harry Potter series and the Chronicles of Narnia.
The Grapes of Wrath - I love this book because it contains characters going through a very challenging time in history.
Such a favorite book of mine is "Think and Grow Rich" by Napoleon I have many favorite books including "Elementary Algebra" by Hall & Knight, "Teach YourSelf Algebra", "Teach Yourself Geometry" etc.
The Dexter Series by Jeff Lindsay- it is about a serial killer who kills serial killers.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
