My favorite childhood summer vacation memory was when two friends came to visit and stayed the whole summer. My cousin also came from Panamá. My grandma had a full house that summer and every day was a new adventure.
Playing at our local swimming pool with friends and going out for ice cream with Mom and Dad after dinner. Not sure why these things are my most fond memories but nothing beat either and they always seemed to be part of every summer growing up.
Going to the lake all day - we brought lunch and snacks, and my brothers and I had all day to make friends, swim and explore.
Hmm....It was summer and it was my aunts birthday, I can't recall how old she turned. We were having a party for her. There was a bonfire and drinking and car backs open to lie down in, music playing it was fun.
I remember going out with my Mother. I don't remember where we went, but I do remember getting a Mickey Mouse balloon inside a balloon. I thought it was the coolest thing in the whole wide world!
I thought it was some kind of futuristic balloon you might see on The Jetsons. This balloon held my attention for hours. My Mommy insisted that she tie this work of art to my wrist and it stayed there... for a while.
Eventually I untied it and forgot about it, and when we were just steps from our house, my balloon took off! I didn't cry, but I watched it for at least 10 minutes while it went up and up. I recently had watched the astronauts land on the moon and was content in thinking that maybe my balloon lifted all the way up to the moon and they had something to play with.
There are so many childhood memories I would claim as favorites. I suppose playing cards with my father even though he constantly cheated it was fun, especially when we played for money.
Oh that is so sweet! Grandmas are the best! LuLu82 49 months ago.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
