Many (many) years ago when I was a girl my mom bought some ornaments from the "Dime Store. " They were glass and my favorite one was in shape of a red trumpet. I still have it but I have so few things from my childhood, I keep it packed away for fear of it getting broken or smashed by the dogs.
My favourite is my nutcracker collection. I buy a new one every year.
My favorite ornament is one that I have that is a nativity scene. It's just so beautiful and I love the attention to detail used in making it.
When my son was younger we tended to decorate with ornaments that were more toy related but now that he's older we use more Christian ornaments and this one fits in so perfectly. I love it.
Another of my favorites is called the Christmas Nail ( maybe this is my actual favorite)...look it up and get one. It's the first ornament that goes on my tree every year as it is so meaningful. Simple but beautiful.
My favorite Christmas ornament is the Energizer Bunny ornament....it was given to me by my husband who just recently passed away...it has a lot of sentimental value to me.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
