Wow man it was the 60's for sure. I’m sort of an old hippie or to be exact an old flower child who identifies with Ben & Jerry but hasn’t sold out to the man yet so the 60’s is definitely my favorite decade. POWER TO THE PEOPLE!

Now I’m waxing all nostalgic and humming Peter, Paul and Mary tunes. Thanks for such a nice question that has sent me on a pleasant retro trip. For me it was a life changing decade I started out as a teen, ended as a man. Started out as a republican ended as a democrat. It was the time that we believed that love could conguer all and we could change the world. We didn’t mind how many people shared our tent at woodstock.

The Democratic convention in Chicago brought home to many the arrogance of power of the establishment. Our parents thought that almost all of us were going to "turn on, tune in, drop out" Our anger at the War grew at the end of the 60’s Kent State galvanized many of my Generation. It was the last time for me that I lived at my parent’s home.

The Beatles changed music forever. And suprisingly looking back now, even with the Berlin wall and the Bomb it felt so safe compared to now, Our worst fears were getting busted for speeding. Just my opinion of many decades past Sources: my opinion .

Well, although the decade isn't over, my favorite decade is this one, the 2000s. This is the decade I found love again and married for the second time. During this decade, I’ve traveled much more than any other time in my life.

I really do appreciate what life has to offer, without all of the "drama" of my younger years. My second favorite decade would have to be the 60s. Those were some of the best years of my life.

Being caught-up in the Kennedy "New Frontier" years, before his assasination, when everything seemed to be possible. The anti-war protests against the Viet Nam war -- the belief that we could make a difference. Striving for racial equality.

Then, the horror of the assasinations of Martin Luther King, Jr. and Bobby Kennedy brought an end to some of those carefree days. Bobby's death was the death which affected me so terribly, because of the promise of what might have been. Then, the short years when The Beatles were together -- seeing them perform in person in Boston.

Meeting my future husband, dating, becoming engaged, and marrying in the 70s, divorcing in the 80s. Oh, the 70s and 80s are not decades I look at with fondness. Now, although, I'm older, I do believe I'm enjoying life so much more and happier than I've ever thought possible.

Never in a million years would I have thought that life could be so much better for me, than it was in my younger years. So, to recap, the nearly 7 years of the 2000s appear to be part of my favorite decade. Ask me that question again in 2011, and I'll let you know for sure.

The '80s. Graduated high school. Went to college.

Got married. Bought a house. Made some money.

Bought a new car. Had my first child . So many important things in my life, and times were good.

Everyone was healthy and I loved my job and just life in general. Autumn00™:0)'s Recommendations The Cars - Greatest ts Amazon List Price: $11.98 Used from: $1.49 Average Customer Rating: 4.5 out of 5 (based on 36 reviews) .

This first decade of the 21st century has really been the best for me and my family, I think. Work success, personal success, personal happiness, financial security, technological developments that we have benefited from; all these have made the first half of this century pretty good for my family and I. Now, I should say that there are only the 3 of us--my husband, my daughter and I.

And pets! Some might say the early years when they were growing up were fun, but I really like these adult years. I guess I'm not so much into fun, or at least the traditional kind of fun.

I think if we had some of the developments that we have now, back then, I might feel different. But technology has really benefited my life, so I prefer the NOW times! My brain is so much more stimulated now that it was back then, and I can do so much more; there is more opportunity plus I have the confidence and courage to do more.

I was too young to appreciate those early years, too! I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
