What is your favorite garden perennial?

Perennials are those flowers which reliably bloom year after year. They die back to the ground each winter after flourishing for a full growing season only to reemerge again in the spring. They're also noted for their texture and vibrant colors.

Generally, perennials are a bit maintenance though there are those require almost no maintenance. These perennials are some the easiest to care for. They also provide colorful flowers and long lasting foliage.

Daylilies are a very common perennial which do remarkably well with very little maintenance. Their flowers, which are available in a wide range of colors, bloom on stocks which grow up from clumps of long pointed foliage. A profuse bloomer, daylilies flower for weeks.

They prefer a bit of shade in the afternoon when the sun is strongest. Easy Care Perennials - perennial-gardens.com/flower-articles/ea....

My favorite perennial is the Rhoeo. It is a low growing plant with green topped strappy foliage with a purple underside. It is very easy to divide and can grow from seed (limited success).

Dichelostemma capitatum, flowers these flowers usually goes along pretty well with utah pavers.

I love sedums of all kinds! Easy to care for and "modern" looking. rockwallgardens.com/Sedums.html.

Well I'll have to choose between my favorite perennial contestants: Daisies, the friendly dependable flower; Peonies, the showy giant bloomer; Russian Sage, for it's hardy beauty and elegance; and Hostas because my shade gardens couldn't do it without them. But my winner is.....Garden Phlox!(phlox paniculata) When most people think of phlox, they think of the creeping variety which grows low to the ground with tiny little blooms. It's pretty, but can be persnickety. GARDEN Phlox, on the other hand, is a towering sleek plant that pops with clusters of fragrant blooms during mid-late summer (and the blooms keep on coming right through until the beginning of fall!

) - man alive they smell pretty next to the front porch! They also are very easy to maintain - they grow in full sun, but can handle a fair amount of shade without sacrificing blooms. And most varieties are disease and pest resistant, so I've never had to give them special attention.

And best yet, they always come back. They're survivors and thrivers. Plus, though they aren't invasive, they sure like to reproduce!

I can split them each year and a handful of new sprouts come up each spring. I'm flush with Phlox! flickr.com/photos/chrisser/207359211/ flickr.com/photos/kingsbraegarden/283812... I have the white variety, like in the top picture.

I highly recommend the 'David' variety as being very hardy, beautiful, and low-maintenance.

My favorite perennial plant is by far the tabasco pepper! I don't eat them but love to watch them grow. It's a somewhat small plant (about 1 - 1.5ft in height).

The peppers are plentiful. They start out green and turn a beautiful red as they ripen. Beautiful to look at and bonus if you like to eat them!

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
