The ones mentioned here are all good. I would add Black Hawk Down and The Great Escape -- both kept very true to the books.
Paul Brickell's true story of The Great Escape gets my vote. This film is brilliantly cast and really captures the desperation of imprisonment that makes the effort to escape that much more believable and urgent. The wide spectrum of personalities and ethnicites of those conspiring the getaway gives this film universal appeal and guarantees an emotional response from all viewers.
The picture which is here is from a film which was made in country where I come from - Poland. The film's plot is based on facts, dreadful facts but as a film I can't say I like it. I really recommend "The Pianist".
Incredible moving story during II World War.
I would have to say saving private ryan, that would be my favorite.
I must agree, saving private ryan and enemy at the gates are one of the most nerve wrecking movie of all time.
Your favourite film adaptation of war novel is (without quotes):.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
