What is your favourite style of art and favourite era of art?

This depends how I am feeling! I like surrealism. I also really appreciate a well rendered graphite portrait - contemporary.

Monet rocks. Turner is awesome. I also like hyper-realism - the likes of Chuck Close.

Semi-representational abstracts are cool.

Hard to say...I like so many. Maybe the Pre-raphaelites. I also love the paintings of Van Gogh and Gauguin.

I like Art I can see with the eye not the mind. To me painting is more about the doing than the admiring.

I like the painting of Baroque time, the colors are amazing, and through the painting, I can see the artists are very confident.

Every time has its own special feature! One of his charm, his shade .... Each time, it is measurable to the artistic growth of the individual: try to compare different age groups with the designs that the individual does in his age group: 3 / 5 years 6 / 8 years and so on. There is a beautiful and ugly.

Each artist expresses what he feels inside, so to speak contagious from social life, from his surroundings. I paint, but bad paint. And it is one of the best ways to express myself and my emotions.

For me its more like illustration being a fantasy art nut, Michael Whelam, Jim Burns and Tom Kidd spring to mind. Not the ususal old masters but everyone to there own taste.

I am somewhat like you I like the old stuff .. Mothers and children playing and pictures of ladies in beautiful dresses with corsets and men in top hats and suits. O' to be back in the day, LOL now ppl run around in P. Js ugg.

I have a real soft spot for abstract art so naturally that means my favourite era is from roughly 1910 and the cubist art of Picasso and Braque all the way through to the present day. Mondrian and Kandinsky are also favourites as are many lesser known living artists. The reason I love abstract art so much is that it is painted from the imagination rather than using nature as a model and for that reason it is a much more powerful means of expression.

My favorite type of style of art - is online graphics, especially from virtual worlds. I like anime, and cartoony, art. So, I'd go with era of online gaming art.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
