I have to say it was one of the best eras Wrestling Wise and it gave us everything a wrestling fan can ask for. Not only did we see epic champions but we saw alot of good feuds. For example Triple H had one of the greatest feuds ever to go down in the WWE with Shawn Michaels.
He started a faction that involved himself, his idol and good friend Ric Flair and two young studs that would make a name for themselves both during and after the group, Randy Orton & Batista. We also had HBK returning after a 4.5 year absence and having epic matches with the likes of Chris Jericho, Triple H, Edge, RVD. Where else can you see HBK vs. Goldberg?
At this era of course. He came back at the right time and fought the right matches and had the greatest feud with his "buddy" Triple H. He definitely proved he was the Showstopper during this era.
It made alot of new stars along the way and it showed that this era especially was responsible for making John Cena, Randy Orton, Batista and many others who became big whether they stayed or not. For example Brock Lesnar. He was a nobody but as soon as he won the King of the Ring he was considered the Face of the Company at one point, he also had his best matches against Kurt Angle, who he both respected and disliked during his career.
Now people might hate Eric Bischoff but during this time he was the face of Monday Night Raw as General Manager during this era. He made us tune in each week to see what was going down on Mondays. Since the first time seeing him shaking hands with Vince, you knew great things were about to happen.
From bringing back the World Heavyweight Championship, to the whole HLA and Three Minute Warning stuff, to coming up with Raw Roulette, he was an innovator. Yes he might've helped WCW's demise but in the WWE he was probably one of the most entertaining heel characters during this time and nobody got up to his standards until Vickie Guerrero came along and stole his spotlight by getting more heat than Bischoff. With that said this is why I loved the era because you had alot of wrestlers getting their time in the spotlight.
I loved it and its a shame most of those wrestlers arent with WWE anymore. Smackdown from back in the day is better than today's raw.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
