There is not a simple answer to which wind instrument is the easiest to learn. Every person has a different capacity for learning to read music and to understand what is required of an instrument. While things such as the flute or saxophone might be easier for those who are good with their fingers and trumpet better for those who have good breathe control, you have to study what is best for you.
Usually people choose an instrument based on the type of sounds they like to hear. You should love whatever you pick as you will be spending countless hours practicing. Many music stores allow you rent an instrument so you can try a few out before you settle on one instrument in particular.
This is often the best way to determine what is easiest for you as well as what you might like the best.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
