The only nudist beaches in the San Diego area is the northern section of the beach at Torrey Pines in La Jolla, and San Onofre, near the northern boundary of Camp Pendleton. Nudity is allowed only on the State owned part of Blacks Beach, nudity bans are enforced on the south end, in the city-owned section. On a busy day as many as 10,000 people will visit Blacks Beach.
San Onofre Beach is a popular nude beach is located just north of Camp Pendleton. Clothing is optional and 80% bare it all, with men usually outnumbering women. Parking lots and facilities are usually patrolled at these locations and police are quick to enforce laws related to public sex and intoxication.
