What kinds of careers are there in cooking?

One of the most fast growing and increasingly lucrative fields is the food industry careers. From service professionals that serve your food, manage the front of house and create a great dining experience to the Chef who makes your food there is always a wide variety of people who are responsible for getting delicious food to the table of guests who eat it. One career is a Chef, who is responsible primarily for the creating of new dishes, cooking the food and managing busy kitchens.

There are several types of chef that a person can choose from such as Head Chef, Executive Chef, Sous Chef, Line Chef, Bakery Chef and Private Chef. All of these require creativity, skill in cooking and experience putting food on the table. Chefs can also use their time to develop cookbooks, however this is a job for any talented Cook.

Hospitality and Restaurant Jobs, are for servers, bartenders, and banquet professionals. These people deal primarily with the customer and makes sure that they get food and drinks to your table quickly and efficiently. Managerial staff are those who manage facilities, restaurants, clubs and all the different places that serve food.
