My advice would be to actually check with your local government before going through with any decisions. Every city and state is different, so it really only depends on the local laws in the state and city in which you are living at the time you wish to purchase this particular pet. If you have a hard time finding out who you should call, try asking a local humane society, animal shelter, or veterinarian for advice.
Sometimes health departments have regulations in addition to the city laws. If your prospective pet is legal locally, they next step would be to check at higher level. If you are in the US, call your state's department of wildlife or natural resources to check on possible restrictions (some states have strict laws over exotic pets; some have none).
Different state in the U.S. Has variety of laws and concerns for exotic pet ownership. These are some exotic pets that are legal to own: 1. Tarantulas 2.
Iguana 3. Llamas 4. Monkeys and primates 5.
Squirrels 6. Tortoises 7. Snakes 8.
Capuchins These are some tiers of state law for owning an exotic pet. 1. There are 18 state that have strong law against exotic animal ownership.
These are Alaska, California, Colorado, Georgia, Hawaii, Iowa, Kentucky, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Tennessee, Utah, Vermont, Washington, Wyoming. 2. There are 10 states that partially ban against owning exotic animals.
There are some that are allowed and some that are not. These states are Arkansas, Connecticut, Florida, Illinois, Kansas, Louisiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Nebraska and Virginia.
Unfortunately the laws regarding exotic pets are not uniform over the entire United States. Legislation varies from state to state in regards to what you can and can't own. In many cases ownership requires a special permit or license obtained through formal training. It's a shame as it create a over all week legal stance for the rights of such exotic animals.
Here is a website that summarizes the laws in each state in regards to most exotic pets: bornfreeusa.org/b4a2_exotic_animals_summ... Any one attempting to keep a dangerous animal such as a lion should already know these laws and have training. It is irresponsible to the animal, the individual and the environment to do otherwise. I believe white lions are also endangered, which to my knowledge you cannot own an endangered animal period unless it's a rescue type deal.
This website says that it is legal, however it says they are very hard to obtain and VERY expensive. It says $138,000. petsdo.com/blog/most-expensive-legal-pet....
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
