I would have to say - The Beatles White Album. It depicts everything that was affected by their music at that time, it reminds me of all the things I learned about history in that time and it reminds me of what I listened to in my childhood and shows me how far I have come in my life when it comes to Musical Maturity.

Dazed and Confused, Communication Breakdown, Hell the whole album is a piece of Art.

I go with just about all the stuff here, but especially, amsmoving, I would include, The Incredible String Band - 10000 Layers of the Onion. Saw them live in 196? At a little pub at Harlow Essex, The Queens Head, brilliant.

Bob Marley and the Wailers - Exodus (reggae I know but still...).

Captain Beefheart & s Magic Band - Trout Mask Replica.

David Byrne & Brian Eno - My Life in the Bush of Ghosts.

The Incredible String Band - The Hangman's Beautiful Daughter.

Miles Davis - In a Silent Way (fusion I know - but still...).

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
