What or how do you deal with 'regrets'?

I try not to dwell on things in the past as they keep me from moving forward. There are things that I regret - some are choices that I made and some are things that I chose not to do - but all of these things helped shape me into the person that I am now. I believe that I learned and grew from my bad choices, so they did serve a purpose.

Most of us could play "what if" or "if only" all day but it doesn't accomplish anything. Going down that road is just depressing. Look forward to the future instead.

I don't regret for anything....this is good or bad I don't know, but what I think is......Whatever I did that time was what I could do best according to that situation, and I can consider it as a cost of learning to never do it again...and learning this is very precious......because this is the most amazing quality of human being of not repeating the same mistake again......so I can pay this cost by anything.......so why should I regret.............And let.....if I felt that I am regretting for something then I just literally say 'F*#$ off' to those feelings.....lolzI really do this, I am not giving a philosophical lecture to you.......try once......it really helps............God bless you... :).

You don't deal with regret when they arise it's to remind you NeVer to do whatever it is again! Especially if it brought about pain. Regret is just another word for reminder.

Living with regret blindfolds you from moving forward and seeing the silver lining behind the dark clouds. The more you hold on to regrets the more you become demotivated. As you think of what you could have done right, map out what and what you should have done and take action on them if you still have the chance.

If you don't, take it as part of your life experience to guide in future occurrence. However, take time to reflect more before taking actions on issues.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
