Muchobene has an interesting client feature where you get an incoming call to answer a live question. It's a neat concept.... like live experts, but I don't think it's really gotten any traction. I'm sure there is a chicken and egg issue... i.e.
Critical mass of experts. Yahoo Answers uber low quality, as I've found AskVille and most of wiki.Answers. Clearly it's relatively easy to start a knowledge exchange--keeping up quality seems to be the hard part.
I've used Yahoo, AnswerBag and JustAnswers. I like AnswerBag best out of the three, in part because Yahoo has some rather draconian moderation and unresponsive customer "support", and because JustAnswers is a pay service. The latter is great though for an urgent question that you need a reliable answer for; I've had car trouble recently and they have a number of ASE certified mechanics online who've been able to answer my questions for a reasonable price.
I was a Yahoo Answers member very early on, but I rarely use it now. I found too many people there to be unnecessarily rude, and there are way too many teenagers/pre-teens that frequent there. However, with the sheer size of their site, it is understandably difficult to filter out all of the garbage.
That being said, I do like the fact that questions can be "starred" as interesting, and their number of active users is impressive. Depending on the topic, you can get a great number of answers very quickly. I have received some very helpful information via YA, and it does have its niche.
Another site that I use occasionally is Answerbag. I don't have any complaints about this site, per se, but I wouldn't really depend on it for serious knowledge-based questions. I've actually referred some AB users to Mahalo Answers because I've felt their questions could be better answered here.
However, AB is great for asking conversational questions and quickly getting lots of people's opinions on things. I like the fact that you can rate questions, in addition to answers, and once you hit 'submit', your answer goes right through. It has a very laid-back, community, aspect to it that I enjoy.
I really dislike the aesthetics of Answerbag. It looks very generic and boring. MA is definitely the most aesthetically pleasing question and answer site that I have ever used.
I've tried predictify.com. That can be a pretty fun site where you ask people to make predictions, and you can win money on that site as well.
I haven't used any of those sites. The only site I have used is this one and Google. If I can't find it on Google, I ask my wife and she looks for it ;) Now that I have Mahalo Answers, I don't need to ask my wife anymore ;).
I highly suggest two answers sites depending on the criteria. For Business, Finance, Investing, and Real Estate you want to use NOBOSH ANSWERS - answers.nobosh.com Hands down nobosh is the best business community on the internet. For Relationship Advice and Dating Advice, use This Could Be HUGE!
Advice - http://advice.thiscouldbehuge.com You won't be sorry you did.
I have tried yedda.com It tries to hunt for someone based on his declared interests and invites them to answer your question.
321answers.com is a useful site for questions and answers along with blurtit.com.
You sign up for it, and then can text to it. There are people at the other end that actually answer the question for you, so you can get better information than texting Google where a machine search isn't going to provide the necessary touch.
I use these: qna.rediff.com wiki.answers.com answerbag.com answers.yahoo.com allexperts.com theanswerbank.co.uk.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
