I know this does not directly answer your question but it may help with your water extraction cleaning. I used to manufacture commercial carpet and the most common problem I saw with regard to cleaning was soaps that were not rinsed off and caused an accumulation on the fibers. I suggest that every third time you do a cleaning, you use just hot water.
Always get the water as hot as possible. The term "steam cleaning" is used but it is really hot water and not steam, in the home cleaning units that Hoover and others make. When soap accumulates on fiber it attracts and holds soil.So sometimes soap can make the carpet dirtier quicker.
Rinse well and vacuum as much of the water as possible. Good Luck.
It is also best to find out what type of soap is ideal to your carpet, because all carpets vary with the type of material they are made of. It is always to ask an expert in this field before you buy anything.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
