What parallels can be drawn between the Anne Frank story and the struggles of women in the 21st century?

Anne Frank, in her own way had many struggles that paralleled what women still face today: *She desired a career and to leave a historical legacy (in her case through journalism) *She was insecure about her romantic partner, Peter, wondering if his devotion was rooted in the circumstance, instead of true affection. Many women today still struggle with whether or not a man is "into" them, and what motivates men. *Anne has mother issues.

She didn't agree with her mother's values and found the gap between their values difficult to bridge and forge any kind of intimacy. Women around the world have plenty of mother issues owing to the changing values of each generation. *Anne was baffled by the fighting and hate taking place in the world around her and did her best to keep going, no matter what tragedies she would here about.

On a different scale, that's not so dissimilar from what we do today. The story of the Frank and Van Pels families parallel a lot of families in the modern world: *In many parts of the world (Russia, India, Korea, Egypt, etc. ) where religious persecution still exists and families must flee. *Racism is still a given in every part of the world, even in the 21st century.

Antisemitism still exists. Anne's story is an extreme example, almost an exaggeration, of problems and fears that still exist today worldwide. One might say we're all still standing in a lake of gasoline, just waiting for one wrong world leader to light a match.

.

Several parallels can be drawn between the Anne Frank story and the struggles of women in the 21st century such as survival during The Great depression, overcoming pride, and the importance of family values.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
