Generally even these precautions are not necessary but they ARE a good idea. The HIV virus is extremely delicate and absolutely does not survive outside the human body for extended periods. If you are concerned about fluids a mild bleach solution will disinfect nonporous items and surfaces.
The obvious thing to do in regard to toothbrushes and razors is for the roommates to make sure they are different colors so it's apparent whose is whose and to keep them in different places so they don't accidentally grab the wrong one. I'd even suggest they each get one of those shower baskets that hold toiletries so when they grab their own basket it only has their own stuff in it.
My cousin is going to be sharing an apartment with his best friend who is HIV positive. While he is not concerned with things like accidentally drinking after him or anything, he wants to protect himself from the virus as well. A nurse said to avoid using the same razors and toothbrushes.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
