What questions will I be asked at my mental health examination appointment for ssd?

Just be ready to answer a lot of questions. They will ask you about everything, your home life, how you think and feel, if you are suicidal, if you self harm, if you have a family history of mental illness. Bsically a lot of questions so make sure you answer them honestly.

They may give you a survey as well to fill out so they can see if you score high for things like depression, anxiety etc. Basically they will want to get to know you and as much about you as possible so they can see if you need further appointments and how they will decide to help you :) Good luck! These types of places try and keep you off medications for as long as they can, if they really feel like you need some then they will prescribe you some. Don't worry about mention suicidal thoughts to them, it will not put you in hospital. It will help you as it will help them know how bad things and they will be able to know how they can help you if you are honest :) I have been to these places myself (guessing your in the UK due to the time) and told them of my suicidal thoughts, they helped me outpatient.

Only went in hospital when I actually tried to kill myself. You will be fine, your going to get the help you need :).

You are not "screwed" because you mentioned suicide at all. I have been to one of these appointments and told them I had suicidal thoughts. They helped me on outpatient.

You will only ever have to go into hospital if you actually try to kill yourself. The appointment will be a lot of questions so answer them honestly and you will be fine. They will schedule more appointments and try there best to help you outpatient :) Good luck.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
