Story matters in many ways but certainly NOT in the bailing out of European countries. Germany is becoming an economically speaking 'better' country. But the German chancellor Angela Merkel is as opportunistic as the French President Sarkozy.

Both countries try to play the rôle of Father Christmas or - in the case of Germany - Mother Christmas. The important existence of the European Unity cannot be bought with billions of €uros but with a good and transparant view of the real future of a country. The Vatican for instance has more than enough billions of €uro's to help Europe become a real Europe.

But the Vatican's policy has always been - and will go on being as long as the European Commission permits - frugal and economical if it is in its own vision of 'saving the catholic souls', whatever that may mean for normal people and for so many falsely declared Saints. It is put on the waal of the excessively small Catalan village of Llabía that has a little church falling into pieces, a bit like the Roman Catholic church as a whole.Jpg.

Greece, Ireland, Portugal, and Spain has a total debt of $2.281 trillion with $1.613 trillion debt owing to foreign claims. Germany has loaned Spain $216 billion and France has loaned Spain $201 billion. Germany had over $150 billion in loans to Ireland and gave them a bailout of $93 billion.

Story between Spain and Germany seems to be an inhibitor for a bailout. The bailout could cost over a $1 trillion dollars to stablize. GoldenLion 12 months ago .

Story has - in Europe - NOTHING to do with with loans, debts, bailouts and go on with words that are but a thin layer of veneer. Story is basically an interpretation of reality and has to be exercised with a lot of care, especially in the quickly changing world we live in. **************************************************The puzzle - that goes with this reply - might bring you a lot of different ways of thinking.

Everything that belongs to my opinion is written down. By the way: how is the situation in the United States of America with the dollar after the spending of seven trillion dollars by George W. Bush for wars, wars and more wars?

War impoverish. We will soon begin paying for the wars of the 20th century through higher taxes and inflation. GoldenLion 12 months ago .

If you want to play "Union of States" you have to be prepared to support your single currency, and that means bail out to prevent it's collapse if need be. Just like President Bush did here to prevent a total collapse of the economy.

Germany does like the idea of e-bond. E-bond would distribute credit from a wealthy country like Germany and extend credit to an over credit country like Spain. Your asking Germany to assume the debt burdens of its relatives.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
