What should I do on my vacation to Rhode Island?

I am spending a week there and would like to know what there is to do and see. Please also give suggestions on good vegetarian restaurants and coffeehouses. I am not sure exactly where I am staying, but the state is small enough to see anything, anywhere in it.

Newport Visit Newport! It’s beautiful this time of year. Old building/mansions, streets of quaint little shops that go on and on, boats, old cemetaries....and so on My husband and I go there occasionally and there is so much to see that time of year.

About a month ago we stayed there, shopped during the day, and took a ghost tour at night. Not as "freaky" as I thought it would be, but the guy took us around town and told us such interesting stories about certain buildings (court houses, churches, restaurants, cemetaries)..it was so interesting! There is a beautiful cliff walk along the water, where you can look at the beautiful ocean, and see gorgeous old mansions (that can be toured).
