I don't think a suit is necessary, but at least wear a nice skirt down to your knees or lower, or a nice pair of pants. Also, wear a nice blouse, but not a revealing one. Good luck!

Dress as if you were going to start work immediately. Look like you fit in .
The general rule of thumb is that you should always dress just a little more professionally than is required - and make sure you are well-groomed and presentable if this is a customer-facing role. Always keep in mind that you never know who your interviewers are, or what might "turn them off", so being a bit more conservative will never hurt. What MorningDew has recommended sounds perfect, and keep nails and hair neat.
I'd check out what the other wait staff wear in terms of shoes and jewelry, and accessorize in accordance with that. A jacket and good purse never hurt anyone either! :) Good luck!
Pencil Skirt, white blouse and pumps (low heels) for other tips for the interview check out AT&T's interview tips aspx.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
