What was the most embarrassing thing you witnessed or learned about on your first job?

A question about ED drugs and their embarrassing side effects had me reminiscing about my first job and a few things I learned and experienced. And how often my face turned bright red. I worked in a doctor's office as a file clerk during high school.

I learned about all sort of embarrassing medical conditions I had never even expected existed until then. I got handed containers of bodily fluids by patients who expected me to know what to do with them. And I had to handle making appointments for people who turned out to high school classmates I had to face in school the next day without letting on that I knew what their medical conditions were.

So, how about you? What happened to you during your first job that made you blush? Asked by basilisk 34 months ago Similar questions: embarrassing thing witnessed learned job Business > Jobs.

Many years ago, my girlfriend's father decided to open a massage parlour/brothel and she was helping out as receptionist ...anyway, after about 1 month of the brothel being open, her father told her that some girls would be coming in today for interviews for a job vacancy there. That morning, a girl walked in for the job and both of them recognised each other as schoolmates from their class in high school only a few years earlier. Needless to say, they were both rendered speechless.

1 I worked in the Ladies Department at Caldor when I was in high school. At the end of the night I would have to go into the dressing rooms and clean out clothes and pick up hangers, etc. Well, one night I went into the Men's side and there was a huge, long poop on the floor! I had to go tell the manager and then the poor maintenance kid had to clean it up.

I asked for a transfer to the front registers.

3 I worked in a gas station and periodically had to clean the restrooms. One morning I went into the ladies' and the floor, walls, and even the ceiling had poop smeared all over. I could NOT clean that place and was very embarrassed by my immediate reaction, which was to burst into tears.

Otherwise, the most embarrassing thing was at a computer job at a small company. I was alone in the office with the boss, a married man whose baby was due any day, and he not only started to flirt at me but also tried to grab things he had no business grabbing and he unzipped himself. Needless to say, I quit right then and there.

Worst thing you have ever witnessed working in food service or a friend has told you...

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
