What was the role of medieval monarchs?

In an absolute monarchy they are the government as well as the head of state. In a constitutional monarchy they are solely the head of sate and the business of running the country is left in the incapable hands of an elected government.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
