Why doesn't the monarchs of UK pay inheritance tax?

Unfortunately because the unmarried and/or childless are in the minority our political sway is limited. My sensible and grown-up head says that the benefits bestowed on the breeders is for the children, which lessens the blow. When I hear spoilt parents moaning about costs of childcare and family holidays it makes my blood boil just a tad.

After all they chose to have kids yet seem unprepared to make certain of life's sacrifices to raise them. And they say those of us who remain childless are selfish- so unfair.

No, only 30% of couples choose not to have children, anyhow your parents did so they got your rebate..

A death in the UK sees the estate closed under UK law. Certainly in the UK and normally in all other countries all taxes are resolved BEFORE bequests are transferred. If you have received a message saying you have an inheritance but must pay a fee to get it then it is a scam and should be reported to the police.

Money you bring or send to Australia is not taxable. You only pay tax on any interest earned on that money.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
