There is no reason why religions should be excluded from free speech, darling. None at all. Believers are not exempt from scrutiny or criticism or ridicule, nor are their belief systems, and the speech does not have to be "constructive" or "respectful" to be permitted.
Speech is either free or it is not. Saying rude, critical, mean, or even obscene things about a person's religion is absolutely NOT the equivalent of yelling fire in a crowded theater. A similar question was recently asked in the Ramadan section, regarding freedom of speech, and I was incredibly disturbed by the number of people who thought that religion - their religion - should absolutely be excluded from free speech.

I mostly agree with you. When people put questions on here that show a total lack of understanding, research, or logic, I have tried to put them right, but all I get back is abuse, nasty emails and violation notices. Its because they refuse to even consider that they might be wrong.
Somehow the brainwashing that goes into making people stay in a religion, prevents any independant thought processes. Because they are unable to comprehend something different, they become offensive( or even defensive), of that which they don't understand. It seems therefore unrealistic to even try to debate some issues despite free speech , because I have found here that there are narrow minded bigots who don't want to learn anything new.
Religion should not be excluded when inaccuracies occur , those of us who have done years of research into biblical matters are bound to have learnt a lot more than a self minded, pious , hypocritical person of a different persuasion.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
